We are going to do a one-off 10-week course

At the request of many, we are going to do this just once. Something totally new and unique in our history. (Well, 25+ years) Are you taking a gap year? Do you want to enroll in film school, the HKU, or St Joost? And do you want to know how that works? Or do you just want to learn how to make films (read: films, not commercials or corporate BS)? But how do you start? What are you getting yourself into, and will you even enjoy it? Discover it with us. We are an international production agency for documentaries and, more recently, feature films. Sometimes wildlife, sometimes socially driven drama. Headstrong, driven, and passionate. (Yes, you read that correctly, specifically headstrong, driven, and passionate) We are offering a one-off training session for you. Not online, but live. Get introduced to the world of film, international actors (yes, really), the basic 'dishes' of film, scriptwriting, directing, and editing, and prepare for your new future. Because we, as a film company, are also busy with our productions, we are applying a registration limit (max. 10 people) and a time limit (registration is open until March 1, 2024). Based on the registrations, we will schedule a number of dates for both theory and practice. Send us your motivation, a bit of background (what you have already done), and what you would like to achieve. Just making a film, telling a story, doing a bit of writing, shooting, editing, and showing it. Really nice. Film about housing shortage

Hi! A different message than usual, but a relevant one too! We are making a film and we need your help! You see, we are making a film about the housing shortage! WHY THIS FILM? The Netherlands is in a housing crisis: waiting lists for social housing are endless, it is virtually impossible for first-time buyers to find a home, and there is a severe shortage of student rooms. Currently, there is a shortage of 23,700 rooms, meaning that one in five students cannot find a room (LMS, 2023). At its core, '€655 exclusive' is about this housing shortage, specifically among students, and the consequences it entails. '€655 Exclusive' is the first Dutch film about this very important subject. One of the biggest consequences of the housing shortage among students is 'the viewing evening'; in our short, we zoom in on this phenomenon. We, Trix and Laura, with over 20 viewing evenings under our belt, know the ins and outs of those evenings like no other. The madness, the discomfort, but also the painfulness of such evenings formed the ideal starting point for a short film for us. SYNOPSIS '€655 Exclusive' takes place in a student house where an interview is being held for a room of no less than 8 square meters (!!). Ninthe, an awkward and somewhat socially uncomfortable 18-year-old girl from Brummen in Gelderland, is there to apply. In high spirits, Ninthe makes a third attempt to secure a room. With an expensive, wrapped bottle of Brumse gin in her hands and her shoulder bag just a little too long, she enters a new world unknown to her: the urban and hip student life in the big city. It soon becomes clear how badly these two worlds clash and how Ninthe turns out to be an outsider. She cannot keep up with the conversations, doesn't get the jokes, and doesn't even know the meaning of some of the words used. After a conflict between her and the eternal student Bartu, Ninthe is already outside again after 6 minutes. In '€655 Exclusief', we see as spectators how a room viewing evening is a survival of the fittest (or in this case, the most sociable), and how securing a student room is no longer a habit but a struggle. We would think it would be AMAZING if you, as film lovers, would like to donate! That's possible here! https://www.voordekunst.nl/projecten/16525-eur655-exclusief WHAT WE DO WITH THE DONATION Have you donated? THANK YOU, you are fan-tas-tic. We are going to use this money for: equipment, locations, materials, catering, and submitting the film to (inter)national festivals. Additionally, we hope to raise enough to pay all the talented cast and crew members committing to this project. THE MAKERS '€655 Exclusief' is being made by two amazing young makers: Laura Bakker & Trix van Erkel. They will write the screenplay and direct the film together. And Rianne Super will handle executive production. The rest of the team will be announced later, so keep a close eye on our For the Arts page! Want more info? Check out https://www.voordekunst.nl/projecten/16525-eur655-exclusief Thank you so much in advance and lots of love! Greetings from the €655 exclusive team
