Dalila Bottari
Looking for Composer for Short film
The music should have an emotional arc, going from lighthearted and playful tones to more introspective ones as the family's struggles become more and more present. Mainly two moods should be recognised throughout the score:
-Playful: Something quirky, reminiscent of vintage French-inspired music or acoustic folk elements.
-Nostalgic: Ambient music with subtle instrumentals could work well here.
KEY SCENES FOR MUSIC:
-Opening scene: On the initial roll of credits, with the movie title showing (all on inserts of the kitchen that will set the mood for the majority of the movie and will give the audience an idea of what kind of family is the Fox family). Something upbeat, maybe some folk music elements, something that can portray the warmth of this household.
-Montage Mr. Fox slowly becoming more absent: As Mr. Fox becomes more distant, the music should subtly darken.
-TV sequence: This scene calls for more surreal elements and atmosphere music.
-Final Transformation: A comeback to the original opening sequence music that repristinates the warm atmosphere.
OTHER DETAILS
-Duration: Approximately 4 to 7 minutes.
-Delivery Format: WAV files synced to scene cuts or mp4 files that I can easily adjust in the timeline.
-Timeline: Ideally the final timeline would be 24th of February (we can discuss other draft timelines).
