Collaboration sought for social drama
Dear friends,
My name is Leili Khodaei. I am a writer and director and have been living in the Netherlands since 2013. Together with Iranian director Leila Norouzi, who currently lives in Turkey, I am developing a social drama as a feature film.
Leila Norouzi is an experienced filmmaker who has served on several jury members at international film festivals. Her work has been recognized with several awards in different countries.
The film's script was written and completed by me. We are now looking for a producer who can support us in the realization of this project. Although the direction will be mainly in the hands of Leila Norouzi, both the writing and the directing work are a joint effort.
The film tells the gripping story of a 45-year-old man in Iran who does everything he can to survive, while bearing responsibilities towards his brother and sister. The concept and the story have already been positively received by renowned directors from both the Netherlands and Turkey.
The intended budget for the film is approximately €1,200,000. We are looking for a producer with a strong network at film funds and festivals. The shooting will take place in Turkey, because of the great similarity of the locations with Iranian homes.
