In early 2020, we launched the Animation31 platform. With this, we provide an overview of the Dutch animation and motion design sector. After a full year of operation, we have processed all feedback and have been able to update the site, thanks in part to the Pictoright Support Fund.

Local stimulus
A frequently heard wish was to be able to search on the map of the Netherlands. From now on, it offers an overview of which animation professionals are located in your area. This way, you can have a cup of coffee face-to-face locally, discuss the possibilities, and take action quickly.

International visibility
The map also provides people from outside the Netherlands with insight into what our country has to offer in the field of animation and motion design. This aligns with our platform's ambition to promote the sector both domestically and internationally.

Floor
Articles have already appeared on Animation31; we are continuing this with interviews from the field and people from outside the sector who already use animation in their daily work. Soon, we will launch 'The Workday Of', in which a freelancer describes his or her workday each time, offering inspiration and insight into the animation process.

Professional appearance
Animation31 often received feedback that, at first glance, it reminded one of a beautiful community platform. While it may well be that, we specifically want potential clients and the audience to connect and stick around. That is why we are opting for a somewhat more professional look. As a visitor, you are now directed more quickly and clearly to a map with an overview, all affiliated freelancers, and a request for a quote.

Animation31 continues to evolve; we look forward to new collaborations and are open to ideas from within the industry or beyond.
