During our final Cineblend evening of this season, we will be in conversation with three cultural anthropologists: Steef Meyknecht (also a documentary filmmaker), Floris Paalman (also a documentary filmmaker), and Joost Zonneveld (also a journalist).
Meyknecht and Paalman have both just completed documentaries set in the Nieuwland district in Schiedam and the Dapperbuurt in Amsterdam, respectively, and will show a number of excerpts.
Political parties are falling over themselves with election rhetoric about the alleged unlivability in these types of neighborhoods. What is life really like in these kinds of neighborhoods?
