Since 2006, the CinemAsia Film Festival has organized CinemAsia FilmLAB to stimulate media productions within the Asian community in the Netherlands. The significant attention this received confirmed the need for greater visibility of Asians on the big screen and in the media.
Since then, Cinemasia has produced 18 short films. This year, Cinemasia Film Festival once again presents FilmLAB 2016.

The theme for this year is "Music".

If your plan is selected, you will get the chance to make your short film with advice from a mentor (professional filmmaker), help from the FilmLAB producers, professional camera equipment sponsored by Cam a Lot, technical advice from an editor, post-production in the form of color grading sponsored by Filmmore, and a production budget of 500 euros.
To top it all off, your film will premiere at the CinemAsia Film Festival in March 2016 and will be screened further during the festival's tour throughout the country.
