Moroccan Gives Driving Lessons continues unchecked with second season

The Netherlands' favorite driving instructor Mo' is back with a second season of *Marokkaan Geeft Rijles*, which premiered on Thursday evening, May 22, at Het Ketelhuis. The first season by the Netherlands' own Sacha Baron Cohen, Mert Ugurdiken, was already an unprecedented success with over 700,000 viewers per episode and more than eight million viewers in total, but with a new production team and new storylines, season two promises to be an even bigger party.

With his lighthouse-red car, pimped out with rust spots and dents, Mo' helps novice drivers gain more experience behind the wheel. As a mentor and coach, we see during the episodes how this friendly Moroccan positively encourages his students to get the best out of themselves. 'If you kill me, I'll kill you.' He not only teaches them standard driving skills—'press first gear, put it in start'—but he also goes out of his way to teach them the things that really matter once they receive their driver's license. For instance, he takes a student through the Noodle Drive and teaches another how best to wash his car. In season two, he takes it a step further by teaching his student Javi how to win over the hot chicks. He also manages to scam his student out of a flashy Mercedes with his friend Appie.

'The reactions to Marokkaan Geeft Rijles season one were amazing, truly awesome. It made me really happy,' says Mert Ugurdiken. 'Because of this, I wanted to take the concept to the next level, and I succeeded with an entirely new, friendly team.'

For the second season of *Marokkaan Geeft Rijles*, Mertabi Productions, biko, Ism NewBeTV, and director Ivan Lopez Nunez (Max & Billy's Drill Machine Girl) have joined forces. The aim is to create the funniest and most-watched web series in the Netherlands. With over 150,000 subscribers and 20 million viewers, they are already well on their way.
