Matthijs van de Sande Bakhuyzen is BOY7. Ella June Henrard is GIRL8. The other roles include: Yannick Jozefzoon, Tygo Gernandt, Renée Soutendijk, Halina Reijn, Hans Dagelet, Beau Schneider, and Joost Koning.

When Sam regains consciousness in the middle of a crowded subway, he doesn't know how he got there, where he comes from, or even his name. With the help of Lara, whom he meets on the subway, he relentlessly searches for his identity and slowly comes to the realization that his life is in great danger.

BOY 7 is based on the successful young adult book by Mirjam Mous. Since the first edition in 2010, more than 45,000 copies have been sold, and the book has since been translated into German, Polish, and Korean.

Filming has now started on location in Budapest, Hungary. Production is being handled by Lemming Film in co-production with Proton Cinema (Hungary), A Private View (Belgium), and KRO-NCRV.

The film is being made with support from the Netherlands Film Fund, the CoBO Fund, and MEDIA.

A-Film Benelux will release the film in Dutch cinemas in early 2015.
