The Wicker Shield refers to the willow practice shields that Roman legionaries used for their training.
In this dramatized documentary, we show the life of Roman soldiers in our country, the border region of the Roman Empire, in peacetime.
What was the life of the legionnaires like when no wars were being fought?
Through reconstructed scenes, we tell the story of just an ordinary soldier in this remote corner of the Roman Empire.

We hope to have secured a large part of the financing in October 2014 so that we can then begin pre-production. The premiere is currently scheduled for December 2015.
