From June 12, 'Coraline' can be seen at Melkweg Cinema: the beautiful 3D stop-motion animated film about a young girl who discovers a different, better version of her life through a secret door in her new house.
At first glance, this parallel reality looks eerily similar to her real life—only much better. But when Coraline's fake other mother (Teri Hatcher) wants to keep her with her forever, Coraline must rely on her courage, her neighbors, and a talking black cat to save her real parents and get back home.
'Coraline' is by the same director as The Nightmare Before Christmas, written by Tim Burton. Henry Selick also adapted the book 'James and the Giant Peach' by Roald Dahl. Coraline is based on the children's book of the same name by Neil Gaiman and is the first high-definition stop-motion animated film shot in 3D.
