Ricky Rijneke's feature film debut Silent Ones will be screened at The PHI Centre in Montreal.

Silent Ones is also being screened this week in the New Directors Competition of the 37th Sao Paulo International Film Festival, which is taking place at multiple locations in this metropolis.

Silent Ones was previously nominated for the Tiger Award, the competition program, and the flagship of the International Film Festival Rotterdam.
Subsequently, Silent Ones won various European awards and was screened at a dozen festivals, such as New Horizons in Poland, Moscow, Sarajevo, Mumbai, Prague, and Los Angeles.
Silent Ones tells the story of the young Hungarian woman (Orsi Tóth) who, after a freighter, comes to fulfill her promise to him. A surreal trip balancing on the edge of life and death.

Silent Ones was produced by Rotterdam Films (Rijneke & van Leeuwaarden) and was made possible with support from the Netherlands Film Fund and the Mondriaan Fund. Distributor Contact Film is releasing the film in the Netherlands. International sales are handled by the French sales agent Wide Management.
