Last Sunday, the short film Sevilla by Bram Schouw received a Special Mention at the Festival International du Court Métrage in Lille. The jury praised the story, the freedom of spirit, and the tone of the characters.

Sevilla is about three young people who go on a road trip that will drastically change their lives. The lead roles are played by Ludwig Bindervoet, Kay Greidanus, and Stefanie van Leersum. The film has since screened at more than 50 international film festivals and won multiple awards, including the Golden Calf for Best Short Film at the 2012 Netherlands Film Festival. The screenplay by Marcel Roijaards was awarded a Silver Curl Award last month.

This coming Sunday (October 20), the film will be screened at the EYE Film Institute in Amsterdam during the Evening of the Debut Film.

Sevilla is a film by Bram Schouw and a production by Frank Hoeve and Katja Draaijer for BALDR Film in co-production with the NTR as part of Kort! with financial support from the Filmfonds, Mediafonds and CoBO.
