THE BOMBARDMENT received the Audience Choice Award for Best Film (Audience Choice Award Best Feature 2013) at the Stony Brook Film Festival on Long Island, New York. Actress Roos van Erkel received—for the first time in the festival's history—a special honorable mention for her role as Eva Von Heerle in The Bombardment (Honorary Mention Best Actress 2013). Director Ate de Jong and Roos van Erkel were present at the screening, which received a long standing ovation.
