Best Offer with Sylvia Hoeks wins six Italian Oscars

Giuseppe Tornatore's art-world-set thriller The Best Offer, starring Geoffrey Rush, Sylvia Hoeks, and Donald Sutherland, was the big winner this weekend at the Italian Oscars, the David di Donatello Awards. The film won six awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Music by Ennio Morricone. Hoeks' previous film, *Het Meisje en de Dood* by Jos Stelling, was awarded the Golden Calf for Best Picture at the Netherlands Film Festival in Utrecht in October 2012. The actress is currently shooting the romantic comedy *Bro's Before Ho's*.

The Best Offer is about the obsession of an eccentric auctioneer (Rush), who develops an obsession with the heiress (Hoeks) of a valuable art collection.
The film was shot in Northern Italy, Vienna, and Prague for 18 million dollars and grossed 12 million dollars in Italy alone, making it one of the most successful films of 2013 so far in Italy. The film is currently showing in cinemas in Germany and has also been sold to many other European countries.
