The cast of the Netherlands' first Christmas film, MIDDLE OF THE WINTER NIGHT, is being expanded with Jeroen van Koningsbrugge (LOFT, De Lama's). Van Koningsbrugge will voice the somewhat clumsy, gentle moose Moos. "I used to have a moose, and it has always been my dream to portray him. In the film, I try to imitate him as best I can," jokes Van Koningsbrugge.

It was previously announced that the remaining lead roles are played by Derek de Lint, Dennis Reinsma, Jelka van Houten, Dana Goldberg, and Arjan Ederveen. MIIDDEN IN DE WINTERNACHT is based on the successful book of the same name by Andreas Steinhïfel and is directed by Lourens Blok (VAN GOD LOS and FEUTEN). The film opens in cinemas on December 4.

MIDDLE OF THE WINTER NIGHT is produced by Lemming Film in co-production with the Swedish Svensk Filmindustri, Davaj Film, and the Belgian Anchorage Entertainment. The film is co-financed by the Netherlands Film Fund, the Swedish Film Institute, and Filmpool Nord.
