Upload your video and share the stage with Daria van den Bercken. The best entry will be screened during the premiere of Upload Klassiek, July 9 in Het Concertgebouw Amsterdam.
Classical music elitist? Only something for old people? Not online. Judging by the countless videos on YouTube, classical music is an art form that is very much alive on the internet. From moving performances between the sliding doors to massive Mozart flash mobs in the street, from webcam choirs to vegetable orchestras: the internet and new technologies are breathing new life into classical music. That is why Upload Cinema presents on 9 July in collaboration with the Royal Concertgebouw: Upload Classic, an evening-filling program full of beautiful videos about the practice of classical music. With Dagan Cohen as host, a guest performance by pianist Daria van den Bercken, various surprising intermezzi and much more.

As always with Upload Cinema, the audience is central here too. You can already participate now! There are two ways you can influence Upload Classic: by submitting web videos, and by entering the video competition. In this competition we give you the soundtrack, a piece of music by Händel, and you can make the film for it.

Upload Classic video competition
Do you prefer to make your own web video? For Upload Klassiek we are organizing a real video competition, the winner of which will be shown during the premiere on 9 July in Het Concertgebouw. And the great thing is: the soundtrack is already there. Now the film! As soundtrack you use the 'Suite in D Minor HMV 428: Prelude' by Georg Friedrich Händel. Add a video to this, post it online and send us the link.

Let your inspiration run free and make a nice video yourself!
Upload the video to an online video channel, such as Youtube or Vimeo, and place the url to your video on this website before June 25, 2013, 11:59 PM, stating Upload Classic + [your self-chosen title for video]. Also fill in the other required information.
In July, a jury chooses the winning video; the winner will be notified and invited to the premiere of Upload Klassiek on July 9 in Het Concertgebouw Amsterdam.
