Much interest in Cannes for Dutch debut film Silent Ones.
The Dutch film Silent Ones, the feature film debut of Ricky Rijneke, was screened with great success at the recent Cannes Film Festival.
The French sales agent WIDE Management has acquired Silent Ones and is handling the worldwide sales of the film.
The film was well-attended during the Marché du Film and the special Eyes on Films Screenings, where it was shown to international distributors and film festival programmers.
Silent Ones was nominated earlier this year for the Tiger Award Competition, the flagship of the International Film Festival Rotterdam, where the film had its world premiere.

Silent Ones tells the story of the young Hungarian woman (Orsi Tóth) who, after her younger brother Isti disappears, sets off aboard a cargo ship to fulfill her promise to him.
A surreal trip balancing on the edge of life and death.
Silent Ones was produced by Rotterdam Films (Rijneke & van Leeuwaarden) and was made possible in part with support from the Netherlands Film Fund. Distributor Contact Film will release the film in Dutch cinemas in the autumn of 2013.
