Nasrdin Dchar (Rabat, Tirza, Süskind) has landed the lead role in the crime drama THE INFILTRANT. In Shariff Korver's feature film debut, Dchar plays a police officer who finds himself caught in a conflict of loyalty due to an infiltration. The screenplay was written by Rogier de Blok, who previously wrote the screenplays for films including My Life on Planet B and RU There.

Nasrdin Dchar (1978) won the Golden Calf for Best Actor in 2011 for the film Rabat, for which he also received a Rembrandt Award nomination. Additionally, Nasrdin played important roles in Lotus, Tirza, Süskind, and in the TV series De Troon and Charlie. In the theater, he appeared with his successful solo show Oumi and as a guest actor with Het Toneel Speelt and the RO Theater.

In 2011, Shariff Korver graduated from the Netherlands Film and Television Academy, specializing in directing/fiction. With his graduation film Geen weg terug, Shariff won various awards, including the Nassenstein Prize for Best Fiction Graduation Film and the European Civis Media Award.

DE INFILTRANT is produced by Lemming Film in co-production with the NTR as part of 'De Oversteek', a collaboration between the public broadcaster, the Film Fund, the Media Fund, and CoBO. The film will be shot in the autumn of 2013 in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Morocco.
