TREE OF FLESH with Anneke Weerts is the Audience Favorite at Imagine

Once again this year, Imagine received fantastic entries from all corners of the country competing for the Time Capsule Award, the prize for the best 30-second alternative Imagine trailer. All 13 entries were just as diverse, colorful, surreal, atmospheric, or imaginative as the festival itself.

Tree of Flesh by the Heyl Brothers received appreciation from the public. This trailer had the most thumbs-up on YouTube and the most votes via the Imagine website and Facebook page. The audience favorite received a certificate, as well as tickets for the closing and opening films of 2014. The Heyl Brothers are filmmakers Justin and Joël Heyl, both graduates of the HKU, who have had their own company, Action Reaction Productions, since 2007.

The winner of the Time Capsule Award, chosen by a jury, is MONSTERPOP by Boriz Baatsen. Both films will be screened during the closing night on April 17.
