In this forum we discuss the role of Dutch-Asian media makers in challenging stereotypical representations in the media. In addition to stereotyped images, Asians are often invisible on the big screen. How do these media makers deal with multicultural identities in their productions? How desirable is visibility and diversity, does visibility mean power and how can you get around clichés?
