On Tuesday, January 22, the presentation of the novel Supersingle by Nicole van Nierop, published by Prometheus, will take place in Amsterdam. As an actress, she is known for her role as Manuela in the series New Kids and the hit film New Kids Turbo, among others. The first copy of Nicole's second novel will be received by the famous supersingle Ellen ten Damme. The book is available in stores now.

Every year, 33-year-old Rebecca is confronted with her brothers' happiness when the family gathers for Christmas dinner once again. Those around her seem to struggle more with her single life than she does herself. But meanwhile, time ticks on relentlessly.
Together with her best friend Fleur—also single—she tries to shout away her doubts and focuses primarily on going out and men. When she comes up with the ultimate campaign while working at an advertising agency, she realizes how to give her single life even better shape. Nicole van Nierop (1980) is a screenwriter and actress. She wrote scripts for the acclaimed TV series New Kids and the film New Kids Turbo, among others, in which she also played the role of the much-maligned cashier Manuela. In 2010, her debut novel *Ik hou van u* was published, which is being developed into a feature film by NL Film and will be filmed in 2014. The novel was nominated for the Cutting Edge Award for the best Dutch-language book from Belgium and the Netherlands.
