As part of the 'The Miracle of Eindhoven' program, the Melkweg Cinema is screening the documentary 'The Duivendrecht Disney, a Businessman's Idea of an Artist', a film about Joop Geesink and Marten Toonder, who stood at the cradle of Dutch film and animation history.
In 1942, they founded a joint venture: the Geesink-Toonder Drawing Production. The meeting between Marten Toonder and Joop Geesink was of great significance for the emergence of animation in the Netherlands, a part of Dutch film history that is relatively unknown.

Under the title The Wonderful World of Philips, a compilation of various Philips animations is shown.
