ARKTIKA 2012 (II International Non-Fiction Film Festival Saint Petersburg) was won by the Dutch documentary *Stemmen uit de Toendra - De laatste der Joekagieren*, made by Edwin Trommelen, Paul Enkelaar, and Cecilia Odé. The prize consists of, among other things, a glass sculpture and a cash award of 150,000 rubles to be spent on the English translation and the editing of a television version.

The documentary follows Amsterdam linguist Cecilia Odé on her final journey to the Tundra Yukagirs, a disappearing polar people in Northeast Siberia, whom she has been supporting for years in preserving their language and culture.
