Het Offer is about a judge, played by Reinout Bussemaker, who faces a difficult decision when his son commits murder. Should he remain loyal to the rule of law and sentence his son to life imprisonment, or decide to cover up the murder out of love for his son? His alter ego seems to make different choices than his real self...

Later this year, the film will also have its television premiere as part of *Duivelse Dilemma's* (Devilish Dilemmas), a series of forty-minute television films about moral conflicts playing out in contemporary society. Broadcaster Human: "*Duivelse Dilemma's* brings together filmmakers and screenwriters who are among the most promising in the Netherlands. The selected filmmakers and screenwriters collaborated with philosophers, psychologists, and others who contributed thoughts on current dilemmas."

The screening at the NFF will be together with UNDER THE WEIGHT OF CLOUDS, written and directed by Martijn Maria Smits.
