As part of the global theme week 'What Do You Think of Poverty?', Dorst is looking for your program concept, documentary plan, or other audiovisual idea regarding the theme of poverty.

From November 25 to December 2, the programming of the entire public broadcaster will be dedicated to poverty. With this, the Netherlands joins the global theme week 'What Do You Think of Poverty?', to which broadcasters from more than fifty countries are committing. As part of this week, VPRO Dorst is looking for your idea for a short film, program, documentary, animation, miniseries, or any other audiovisual production about your interpretation of poverty.

Send your experimental, humorous, or absurd AV concept on the subject of poverty on no more than one A4 page to [email protected]. Dare to surprise us, in both form and content.

What should be in your plan?

• The idea in one sentence
• Why you think this needs to be made
• The tone
• The shape
• How you want to make it (what do you need?)
• A timetable

What do we look for during the selection?

• Whether your plan is feasible (can be realized within 5 weeks)
• Whether your plan contains an innovative aspect, in the broadest sense of the word
• The length/format of the production is up to you, so whether it is, for example, 2 minutes, 10 minutes, or 3x4 minutes doesn't matter, as long as it is no longer than 15 minutes.
