Cinema Egzotik: A Night on Mars

Cinema Egzotik is a monthly double bill film night at EYE focusing on quality cult and genre films. The main films are always preceded by introductions and relevant trailers, and the presentation is hosted by walking film encyclopedia Martin Koolhoven and film expert Ronald Simons. Monthly on a Friday evening.

For August, the theme is A Night on Mars with TOTAL RECALL on 70mm and MARS ATTACKS! plus the trailers for Flesh + Blood (1985), Robocop (1987), Flash Gordon (1980), and Flesh Gordon (1974).

Satirical sci-fi film homage about Martians who want to destroy the entire world population, full of insane gags and derailed asides.

Burton delivers deadly daggers at narrow-minded minds and megalomaniacal rulers, in the person of the vain, sardonic President Jack Nicholson. Alongside Nicholson shines an all-star cast featuring Glenn Close, Pierce Brosnan, Danny DeVito, Sarah Jessica Parker, Michael J. Fox, Tom Jones, Natalie Portman, and Pam Grier.
