TOPKAPI'S co-production POST TENEBRAS LUX by director and screenwriter Carlos Reygadas has been selected for the main competition of the upcoming edition of the Cannes International Film Festival.

Post Tenebras Lux is a film about memories, emotions, dreams, hopes, fears and events from the director's life.
Reygadas describes the film itself as an expressionist painting where the artist expresses his feelings, rather than trying to paint reality.

Frans van Gestel's production house previously co-produced STELLET LICHT, winner of the special jury prize at Cannes in 2007, together with Reygadas.
Reygadas debuted in 2002 with Japon (Camera d'Or Cannes) and then made Batalla en el Cielo.

Post Tenebras Lux is produced by Mantarraya in co-production with Topkapi Films, Le Pacte, ARTE and The Match Factory. The Netherlands Film Fund supported the project in the Netherlands.

Distribution in the Netherlands is handled by Wild Bunch Distribution, distribution in Belgium by abc distribution.
