Last week, BRIEFGEHEIM won an award at the 10th edition of the International Film Festival For Children & Youth in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

During the Argentine Nueva Mirada (New Approach) festival, The Secret Letter won the 'Official Fiction Jury Award for Best Film for Young People'. It is the first international award for the film, directed by Simone van Dusseldorp.

Last year, Briefgeheim premiered as the opening film of Cinekid. The film was awarded the 2010 Jury Prize at the festival. Since then, more than 100,000 people have seen the film, earning Briefgeheim Golden Film Status.

Briefgeheim is about 11-year-old Eva, who has had enough of the tension at home. She wants to let her parents know how she feels and decides to run away. She hides with her best friends Jackie and Thomas. But when she finds a secret letter and is caught in the garden of neighbor Brandsema, the head of a criminal organization, her plan takes an unexpected turn.
