As part of a new edition of the Night of the Short Film (broadcast on Friday 2 September at NTR on Nederland 2), NTR is organizing a Viral Video competition in collaboration with Upload Cinema.

What is a Viral?
A viral is a web video that is so witty, beautiful or spectacular that it is forwarded thousands or even millions of times over the internet in a short time.

What should you do?
Create a video with a maximum length of 3 minutes. The Viral may have been recorded with your mobile, flip camera or regular digital camera.

Need inspiration and examples?
A new Teleac Virals Making course has been created especially for this competition. In 4 episodes of approx. 2 minutes you are able to make a successful viral. The course can be found on the site http://nachtvandekortefilm.nl

What can you win?
The best virals will be shown in the Nacht van de Korte Film on Friday 2 September at NTR on Nederland 2.

Friday 2 September 2011 at 23.45 on Nederland 2: the Night of the Short Film. This time all about the Virals. What can you expect: the most special virals of recent years, a live performance by Merton the piano man (ovb), a viral competition, request your favorite viral and determine live what the program will look like.
