FAMILY SERIES WITH LEONTINE BORSATO, SUSAN VISSER, AART STAARTJES, BRACHA VAN DOESBURGH, KITTY COURBOIS AND MANY OTHERS

This week, Lemming Film and the VPRO are starting the shoot for the family series HET GORDIJNPALEIS VAN OLLIE HARTMOED, directed by Norbert ter Hall and written by Robert Alberdingk Thijm, for VPRO Villa Achterwerk. Following the successful TV series A'DAM - EVA, Ter Hall and Alberdingk Thijm were eager to create a contemporary story for the whole family. Ter Hall: "HET GORDIJNPALEIS VAN OLLIE HARTMOED will be a warm and moving series with a sharp edge and a happy ending." The series consists of four episodes of 50 minutes each.

OLLIE HARTMOED'S CURTAIN PALACE is about nine-year-old Ollie Hartmoed, who comes from an extraordinary and complicated family. His father is on his third marriage, and his mother moves in with her new boyfriend and his children. Ollie has countless half-sisters, stepbrothers, adopted sisters, and a baby is on the way. When Ollie's grandparents separate as well, everyone is fighting with each other, and the entire Hartmoed family is at odds with one another.
Ollie feels most closely related to his great-grandfather, the 99-year-old Opapa. For his hundredth birthday, he has an almost impossible wish: the entire Hartmoed family together.
And so begins Ollie's mission: with the necessary ingenuity, resilience, and humor, he tries to fulfill Opapa's wish while simultaneously saving the Hartmoed Curtain Palace, the once-prestigious family business, from ruin.

The large star cast includes Leontine Borsato (VOETBALVROUWEN), Susan Visser (GOOISCHE VROUWEN), Aart Staartjes (SESAMSTRAAT), Bracha van Doesburgh (S1NGLE, DE EETCLUB), Kitty Courbois (HAPPY END), Rick Paul van Mulligen (A'DAM - EVA), Trudy de Jong (JA ZUSTER, NEE ZUSTER), Gijs de Lange (KLOKHUIS), Sebastiaan Labrie (GOEDE TIJDEN, SLECHTE TIJDEN), Louis Talpe (MEGA MINDY, GOOISCHE VROUWEN) and Teun Stokkel, among others.

OLLIE HARTMOED'S CURTAIN PALACE is produced by Lemming Film and is a co-production with Willy Waltz International, VPRO, Z@pp, Wallimages, Casa Kafka, A Private View, and VRT. The series is made possible in part by the Media Fund. Shooting takes place in Seraing, in the south of Belgium.

VPRO will broadcast the series starting Saturday, December 17, weekly at 7:00 PM on Z@pp.
