The Leiden International Short Film Experience (LIsFE) is an annual short film festival. Over the past two years, our festival has attracted both Leiden residents and international students by selecting and screening high-quality short films from around the world. The films cover a wide variety of categories, including comedy, drama, animation, and documentaries.

This year we are getting started with the 3rd edition of LisFE and are organizing a short film competition in this context: the POCKET CINEMA award!

This competition is open to anyone who would like to make a short film themselves; you definitely do not need any experience, just a small camera, for example from a mobile phone, and some creativity! The theme for this film competition is 'Film a remake of a well-known film'.

Film your own version of it (or a scene from it) – be creative, because ideally your short film shouldn't be longer than 2 minutes!

…the best films will be screened at the festival and the best short film chosen by our jury will receive a prize – 200 Euros!
