At the beginning of January I started a challenge called Plastic Whale. I want to build a boat from plastic waste and sail it through the Netherlands. To draw attention to the plastic soup, plastic waste that increasingly pollutes the world's waters. Salient detail: I have never driven a boat, let alone built it. Moreover, I started in January with no resources at all, except for a blog (www.plasticwhale.org) and my own network.

Since the start in January, developments have been moving at lightning speed and the plans are becoming increasingly ambitious. Several parties and people have already joined. The sky is the limit, it seems. Oh can it still go wrong?

I am now looking for people who want to capture the development of the project on video. The essence: how far can you go with an impossible plan using modern media? How big can an idea become that one person throws into the world from behind his computer? What and who do you encounter during such an adventure?
