This week, a new platform was launched for contacting extras. The site is called www.filmfiguranten.nl

Production managers and extras scouts can easily and freely place a call.

Sander Jansen of Filmpeople: "We want to separate the casting calls from the calls for extras as much as possible. That works faster and is clearer."

For the extras themselves, there is a handy overview map where they can see if there is a casting call in their area.

Previously, the small internet company Filmpeople created the websites www.filmcastings.nl and www.filmprikbord.nl.
