The 2010 NFTVA graduation film *Dicht bij mij vandaan* by Martijn de Jong is the Dutch entry for the 2011 student Oscars in Los Angeles.

Close to Me is an ensemble film in which four characters are followed separately. They all have a better or happier life within reach, yet there is a fear that holds them back from pursuing that happiness.
