Rijssen's Silent War
A story of religion and tolerance.

'Christians who do not adhere to the true faith are simply heathens,' believes the owner of the Reformed bookstore in Rijssen, Overijssel. In 2011, the themes of religion and tolerance will continue to play a central role in life in the Netherlands. To usher in the year fittingly, we are screening the latest and much-discussed film by Emile van Rouveroy van Nieuwaal, 'Rijssens Stille Oorlog' (Rijssen's Silent War). The film will be shown in its entirety, and afterwards, journalist and filmmaker Annelotte Verhaagen will engage in a conversation with Emile van Rouveroy van Nieuwaal. The evening will conclude with New Year's drinks and a toast to the coming year.
