The first edition of the Eindhoven Film Festival was held last weekend at Strijp-S in Eindhoven. If it is up to the initiators, it will become an annual event.

The first edition of the Eindhoven Film Festival features a wide variety of films and themes following one another in rapid succession. They have one thing in common: they are all short films. The longest film lasts forty minutes. During the festival, independent filmmakers are given a platform for their work. Paul Ruven and cinematographer Rick Roos gave workshops. The Golden Cameras were also awarded for the first time to those films that managed to distinguish themselves this year from the large number of submissions.

The organization of the EFF is in the hands of the film venue Broet. According to project leader Ymke Kleijn, the intention is certainly for this film festival to have a sequel and perhaps even be expanded to all art house cinemas in Eindhoven. The first step has been taken: there are plans for collaboration with film theater Plaza Futura. This first EFF at Strijp-S is a success.
