Young Flemish theatre makers Jeroen Vander Ven and Thomas Bellinck reveal the motivations and frustrations of the soldier leaving for a mission in Afghanistan. Against the harsh reality of war images, Fobbit tells the story of a father who misses his family and the boyhood dream of being an invincible hero. Based on interviews, diaries, and photographs, Steigeisen explores the no-man's-land between historical fact and petty human fiction.
