NL Film appoints Pim van Collem as Executive Producer

NL Film producer Alain de Levita enters into a collaboration with Pim van Collem. From now on, Van Collem will be associated with the capital's production house in the position of Executive Producer.

Within NL Film, Van Collem will focus on the development and realization of international film financing, co-productions and sponsorship. Also in the field of new 3D film and television productions.

Alain de Levita: 'Pim has an incredible amount of experience in the field of international film and TV distribution. In addition, he has an important global network and broad expertise that should enable NL film to spread its wings outside the Netherlands. He is also one of the few Dutch producers who has developed a lot of knowledge regarding the production and distribution process of 3D films. We are very pleased to welcome Pim to our team.

Pim Van Collem: 'NL Film has grown into a production company with a wonderful range of high-quality film and TV drama. The company is ready to attract foreign partners for its projects. There lies a great challenge for me. With the wide range of talent and creativity that NL Film has in-house, we are able to push our boundaries.

Van Collem started his career as head of film acquisition at broadcasters: Veronica and Avro and later became managing director of successful Dutch distribution companies, including: Endemol International Distribution, Polygram Television Benelux and Movies TV.

In 2006 he produced, among others, the successful and internationally awarded documentary film 'Buddha's Lost Children'. The film won the prize for Best Documentary at 11 international film festivals and is one of Holland's most visited non-fiction films.

NL Film produces drama series such as In Therapie, Penoza, Verborgen Defects and SpangaS. In addition, this production company also produces feature films, including most recently De Storm, Long & Happy, Foeksia de Miniheks and Alle Tijd.
