Meet the Artist: Sun Xun

An evening-long program centered on the Chinese artist Sun Xun, featuring a lecture, interview, and films. Media scholar Jeroen de Kloet sheds light on the socio-political background and themes of Sun Xun's work and speaks with him. Jeroen de Kloet is an Assistant Professor of Media Studies at the University of Amsterdam, specializing in popular culture and art in China. The film program includes Mythos, Requiem, and Shock of Time, among others.

Meet the Artist: Sun Xun is part of Sun Xun's artist-in-residence, taking place in Utrecht at the invitation of the Holland Animation Film Festival, in collaboration with the Centraal Museum and CBKU. Here, Sun Xun freely combines the possibilities of visual art, animation film, and the space! He is fascinated by history. The studios are open to the public, so drop in and see him at work.
