At the renowned film festival ÉCU, "The European Independent Film Festival" in Paris, 'Alias Wolf', the new feature film by directors Oscar and Tobias Spierenburg, won the award for 'Best European Feature'. The Flemish film was produced by Picoux, a young Antwerp production company.

During the French premiere of the film, directors Oscar and Tobias Spierenburg were present to accept the award from festival director Scott Hillier, an Oscar-winning filmmaker. Actors Jenne Decleir and Manon Verbeeck were also in Paris and received high praise from the international jury.

'Alias Wolf', a mysterious whodunit, takes the audience into the intriguing world of writers and publishers. The story revolves around the pseudonym Wolf Jacobs, a writer battling a powerful company that wants to stop his new book. To triumph, he must utilize all his talent. Is the pen ultimately mightier than the sword?

Producer Willemijn de Krey ensured that 'Alias Wolf' could be realized without major subsidies. With the recognition at the ÉCU Film Festival, she hopes to prove that 'Alias Wolf' is a strong independent film. "This is truly a film for mystery lovers with a complex plot and unique setting. We are now actively seeking distribution in the Benelux and international sales," says de Krey.
