Flemish feature films from before 2010, including *De Helaasheid der Dingen*, *Rosie*, *Iedereen Beroemd*, and *De Leeuw van Vlaanderen*, are currently hardly available to screen because digital copies of sufficient quality are lacking, while cinemas are exclusively equipped for DCP. As part of the Digital Transformation Design Programme 2025-2029, Meemoo, VAF, and Cinematek developed a preparatory process involving the inventory and selection of films, the preparation of cost estimates, and the exploration of the use of AI in film restoration. The result is a concrete implementation model for the restoration, preservation, and accessibility of fifty Flemish feature films spread over five years.
