Hi, My name is Sam Broekman – Director of Photography and Gaffer from Amsterdam. Since 2018 I work in the film industry, with experience in documentaries, short fiction films and online commercials. I offer my services as a DoP and/or Gaffer, including the use of my own gear. My equipment consists of two high-end camera packages: Blackmagic URSA Mini 4.6K Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Both with matching lens sets, tripods and monitors. I also have a basic lighting set. I enjoy working on artistic and experimental projects, and supporting passion projects. Spiral - Best Experimental Film

I'd like to inform you about this remarkable short film I recently worked on as a sound mixer. Spiral by director AKOP AKOPYAN A visually poetic short film that explores the boundary between reality and inner experience through sound. An intense, atmospheric sound design that supports the emotional journey of both the character and the viewer. MY ROLE From the first contact, it was clear that sound would play a vital emotional role in this film. Even though there was no script, this was evident from the pitch line and mood board. On set, it was therefore essential to pay close attention to the sound environment — the silence, the tension, the emotional buildup, the loud moments, and the outburst of emotion. This project is a textbook example of how 1 + 1 can equal 3. FOR YOU Production companies looking for more than just on-set shooting — Spiral shows what happens when sound design starts right from the set. Hi I'm Bruno, and acting is my favorite thing in the world. Every Friday I am at the Theater School aan de Slinger in Houten. Last year I participated as an extra in the musical Caro, did casting workshops at Xapp children's casting (where I am also registered), auditioned for 40-45 the musical, auditioned for Arj van Boukje, did television shooting for binnenstebuiten, and yesterday had a shooting as a featured extra for Zand over it. What I would like most is acting or characters in a nice series, but I also like to do a commercial, voice acting or a study project. I am currently in group 8 and am available every day from 14:00. Successful lustrum edition of Southern Film Festival

TILBURG – On May 16 and 17, a successful and well-attended anniversary edition of the Southern Film Festival took place at the Cinecitta cinema in Tilburg. This year, the festival celebrated its fifth edition with a special program full of short films by filmmakers from Brabant, Limburg, Zeeland, and Flanders. The festival concluded with the announcement of the winners of the Southern Film Awards. FILM AWARDS WINNERS The big winner at the film awards ceremony was the Flemish film Résumé d'un divorce by director Paul Ghesquière. The film had its Dutch premiere at the festival and went home with no fewer than two awards: the Talent Award and the Audience Award. The award for Best Film went to the animated film Fiego and the Magic Fish by director Joe Murray. The Youth Award, which was presented by a special youth jury, went this year to the fiction film Onderdak by directors Maarten Sleegers and Anna Sherstiuk. SOUTHERN FILM PITCH During the festival, a pitch competition also took place on Friday, May 16, organized in collaboration with CineSud and CineZee. The winner was Lore Loyens with her film project Tussen Dag en Dauw. As the winner, the project receives a €2,000 production budget to help make the film possible. SOUTHERN FILM FESTIVAL ON TOUR Those who missed the festival need not despair, as the Zuidelijk Film Festival On Tour follows in the autumn. This is a traveling film program through the Tilburg region featuring a selection of the best films screened at the festival this year. More information will follow in the autumn on the festival's website.
