Casting Call for Graduation Project

We are looking to fill the following roles: -ENID (LEAD - MID 20s) A quiet, intelligent but emotionally detached woman, she observes the world rather than participates in it. Through her encounters on the subway, she mirrors each stage of grief, learning to let go of denial, anger, bargaining, and guilt until she finally accepts her own death. -IRENE (30s- 40s) Warm and kind. She embodies the fear of being forgotten. Her memory of her daughter and a single day of strawberry picking becomes a shelter for her remembrance. -THOMAS (30s-40s) A weary man numbed by drink and remorse. Once passionate, now hollowed out by guilt over a love he was too afraid to claim. Represents anger and self-punishment. -YOUNG THOMAS (18-23) The more scared version of Thomas. He presents himself during the Thomas' flashback, narrating the half-secret love story between him and Elias. - ELIAS (18-23) A lover of trains, books, and long silences, he represents what could have been. He is Thomas' youth lover. His connection with Thomas is both tender and tragic, a love that existed only in half-light. Elias embodies freedom without rebellion: a person at peace with himself, who only wanted that same peace for the one he loved. -EFFIE (18-23, late teens) A luminous but restless spirit. She represents bargaining, caught between wanting to change the past and learning that memory can be a way of keeping love alive. -MATILDA (18-23, late teens) Matilda is the living echo of joy and loss intertwined. Extremely linked to Effie's story, she is the one who got away and the object of Effie's restless spirit. - DAMIAN (40s-50s) Gentle, he carries years of quiet grief. His story of watching his wife fade away embodies depression, the exhaustion of loving through loss. -CLARA (30s-40s) Clara is both fragile and radiant, caught in the soft haze of early-onset Alzheimer’s. To her, time is fluid as she slips between childhood and adulthood. She embodies innocence rediscovered through loss, a person who forgets sorrow because she can no longer name it.

Cast for Graduation Film - The Isolator

I am looking for 3 main actors - the gender for 2 characters is unspecified, as I am open to altering it based on casting submissions. Think you don't fully fit one of the descriptions? Feel free to still apply! > LEAD ACTOR - Gregor / Isola (named based on gender of cast member) Age: 20 - late 20s Physicality: No specific attributes required Notes: Face will be smashed into a cake Archetype: The Hero / The Everyman Inspired by Gregor Samsa (from Kafka's The Metamorphosis), this character has an internal conflict: the youthful world they lived in vs. the adult world they must now enter. Highly nostalgic about the past, and resigned to the conformist norms he/she has to adopt to fit into the new 'adult' world, this character seems dragged towards an uncertain future as he/she tries to hold on to scraps of childhood happiness. > SECONDARY CHARACTER - Moonboy / Moongirl Age: 20s - late 20s Physicality: No specific attributes required Archetype: The Alter-Ego / The Fool Inspired by The Little Prince, this character is the alter-ego of Gregor/Isola who never grew up. Still filled with creative and grandiose ideas about the world, they peacefully spend their days on the Moonfield. Highly poetic, this character tries to show Gregor/Isola the good things about the future, and to push them to remain youthful and full of ideals. > SECONDARY CHARACTER - Clown or Magician Age: 30s - 40s - 50s Physicality: Long beard/stubble prefered to showcase age, but not required Gender: Male Notes: Would ideally know how to juggle; perform with cards; do some sort of trick Archetype: The Mentor / The Fallen Ideal Representing corrupted joy, and the literal embodiement of comformism, the clown acts as a sort of broken mirror for Gregor/Isola's character. Once filled with motivation, this character ended up comforming to the first-come opportunity and now is stuck in a repetitive-loop of play-pretend and deception for an audience that does not exist. His negative and pessimistic warning-like tone towards the main character sparks fear in them. He is what Gregor/Isola fear they will become.
